Die Cuttin' Divas What Makes You Happy challenge #384

This weeks challenge #384 over at Die Cuttin' Divas is What Makes You Happy
and we sure hope you can play along with us HERE.

Two things that I love are Disney and Christmas so I decided to make a Christmas card representing both. The Christmas tree is from Cricut Hello Kitty Greetings Cartridges and the Mickey heads are Cricut Mickey and Friends Cartridges. I inked the tree with Tim Holtz Mowed Lawn Distress ink and the base of the tree with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain  Distress ink. I added yellow, star dust and xmas red stickles to add a little bing. I really love the way the stickles make the card pop and I'm also thinking that this design will be my Christmas cards for this year.

Don't forget you have until Monday September 3rd to play along.

Die Cuttin' Divas Back to School challenge #383

This weeks challenge #383 over at Die Cuttin' Divas is Back to School
and we sure hope you can play along with us HERE.

For my project I made a First day of College Treat Holder. I got the bag from Cricut Plantin SchoolBook Cartridge and sized it at 10.50 width by 7.1 height. Than I inked the bag with Tim Holtz Blueprint Sketch Distress ink. I created the sentiment using My Creative Time "Alpha Pack" stamp set and stamped it with VersaMark ink than covered it with white embossing powder. The Hello Kitty is another cut file that I was lucky to get from Ruthie over at September Ninth Designs. Thank you so very much Ruthie! I cut Hello Kitty at 3.6 width by 4.2 height. I also used Tim Holtz Mustard Seed Distress ink as well as Yellow Stickles on her.

I was able to fit all this in the bag along with a Gift Card that I forgot to put in when I took the picture. I really love the Hello Kitty cut file and how great it goes with the Cricut gift bag.

Don't forget you have until Monday August 27th to play along.

 This weeks sponsor is Spellbinders
For my Birthday project I went with a Z fold card. I used Spellbinders Layered Happy Birthday die set to make this card complete and I just love the way it turned out.

Cut out the balloon base layer and the balloon layers.

Used Tim Holtz Wilted Violed and Mustard Seed distress ink on the edges of the balloons.

After cutting out the Happy Birthday layer I covered it in Versa Mark ink and than added some Black embossing powder.

I than cut out a circle backing in white.

The pattern paper is from Crate Paper "Hello Love" paper pack and I used Time Holtz Worn Lipstick distress ink to ink the edges. I printed the Eeyore image from google.

Don't forget you have until Monday August 20th to play along.
